St. Luke's Lutheran Church respects your privacy. This page describes what information this website collects, what we do with it, and the third-party services that come into play when you interact with our online presence.
Our web server sets a temporary session cookie when you load a page. It contains no personal information; it expires when you close your browser. The site also uses your browser's session storage to remember whether you have dismissed our "live now" banner during the current visit. Neither is shared with anyone.
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts to give the page its look. When this happens, Google receives standard request information such as your IP address and browser type. We do not send Google anything else.
When you click a link to YouTube (livestream & sermon archive), Google Maps (directions), our giving page, our connect card, or our VBS registration form, you leave this website. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply once you are on them.
Our online "let us know you were with us" form is hosted by Planning Center's Church Center service (the link goes to stlukesbedford.churchcenter.com). Anything you fill in there is collected by Church Center on St. Luke's behalf. We use the contact information you provide to follow up with you about your visit.
Giving is handled entirely by Church Center at stlukesbedford.churchcenter.com/giving. Card and bank details never touch this website. Church Center handles the transaction and stores the payment information on St. Luke's behalf.
Some registration forms (such as Vacation Bible School) are hosted by Google Forms. Information you submit on those forms is collected by Google on St. Luke's behalf and reviewed by our office. See Google's privacy policy for details on how Google handles form data.
Worship services are livestreamed and archived on YouTube. When you watch (whether embedded or on YouTube itself), YouTube applies its own data practices. Worshippers visible in our livestream are filmed during public worship in our sanctuary; if you would prefer not to be on camera, please let an usher know and we will help you sit out of frame.
If you contact us by email or phone, we keep your message only as long as we need to respond and follow up. We do not share, sell, or rent contact information.
This website is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children online.
When children participate in St. Luke's programs such as Kid's Bible Adventure or Vacation Bible School, registration is collected from a parent or guardian using a third-party form (see "VBS & event registration" above). That information is used only to run the program safely — medical notes, emergency contacts, photo permission, and the like — and is reviewed by church staff and volunteer leaders. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not share it outside the church.
If you believe a child in your care has submitted information to us and you would like it removed, contact the church office and we will delete it.
